"I'm feeling like a Monday, but Someday I'll be Saturday night"--JBJ
This weekend, I pretty much did as Jane Austen suggests...stay home for real comfort. It's been a crazy several weeks and have even crazier ones ahead, so I was in need of some couch time and time to update my scrapbook. Still trying to finish 2010! All in all was a good weekend, just not long enough to really fully relax like I need to. I'm planning a vacation sometime soon...I need some get away time!
Smile: What did I smile about?
At church yesterday, we honored the Seniors. They actually lead all the singing and video production. It was so wonderful to see how christ-like they were. They seemed all so innocent, full of life and hope and so joyful to share their faith. They were singing like angels and really, truly praising God for what he's done in their lives. It was so inspiring to see young people (I can't believe I'm actually using that phrase...but that's what they are!) be so open about their Christianity. Was very inspirational! I need to take a few lessons from them!
Celebrate: What did I celebrate?
I went to the doctor today and found out my cholesterol is very good. He was quite amazed at how great my levels were and told me to keep doing what ever I'm doing to keep them in check. Given that my family has a history of high cholesterol, I'm very happy with that news! Now, for all other examination results to go just as well!
Love: What do I love?
I love sleep...something that I've been having difficulty doing lately and wish I could get more of. I think that would help me maintain my diet a little more, make me feel a little better in the morning and allow me to think a little clearer at work. Yes, sleep, it's a good thing. And with that...I'm turning in for the night...good evening my friends!
Thought for the day: Keep looking forward, that's why the windshield is so big and the rearview mirror is so small!
Cheers!

Thank you for being a friend
I've heard it said that people come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. Over the past year, some have come and gone and their reason they came into my life has revealed itself. Some friends became "seasonal friends" and have decided to take their life in different direction. In spite of this, however, I'm fortunate to say that I'm extremely lucky to have a small group of friends that regardless of the length of time in between visits or connections, we still pick up right where we left off and also know that I can call them up in the dead of night and they'd be there right by my side! I'm very lucky, very blessed and very honored to have a small group of extraordinary women that have molded and shaped me over the years and have made me become the woman I am today. God blessed me very much with such amazing people to love me...unconditionally. So, today, I smile, celebrate and love my friendship with my all my fantastic friends. Thank you for being a friend!
Smile: What did I smile about recently?
My five year old niece got the game ball for getting the first run in of her game. She hit the ball and made it to second base. So proud of her! Little athlete in the making!
Celebrate: What did I celebrate recently?
I celebrate that I'm getting a kitchen counters and redoing my bathroom. I've contracted out my brother to manage the construction and spent the last week picking out granite --giallo fiorrito is the color for my kitchen. Santa Cecelia is my color for my bathroom and a nice porcelain tile that sorta looks like travertene is the tile for my floor in my bathroom. I'm excited to be tearing out the tile in my shower and replacing with a nice marble. I've been wanting to make these updates for the last 4 years, so I'm glad that I'm finally doing this and hope and pray it's not too painful of a process!
Love: What do I love?
I love weekends! I love not having to think about work, love relaxing, organizing, and resting after the long, stressful work life that I have. I wish time stood still a little more on these two days off so I can get some more life "stuff" done! I can't believe it's already 8:30 on Sunday! Where does the time go??
On a different note, I had date number 3 with my new guy. I'm really not sure what to say...he's nice, but not so sure that there are sparks there for either of us. I did find out he's not religious and is not a Christian, so that concerns me, as that is the top thing that I'm looking for in a mate. I have a great time with him and enjoy his company, but am thinking that we may be better friends than anything else. If he asks, I will go out again with him and am hoping that we can do something other than dinner to see if it generates some sparks between us. We'll see what happens...AND if this doesn't work out, well, that's ok...just will send my net out again and see what else I cast. Life will go on and I'll continue being the happy, healthy and terrific person I am!
Thought for the day: Regardless of what's happening right now, keep affirming: Life brings me everything I need exactly when I need it.
Have a great week folks! Love you all!

I'm so glad it's Friday!
I am so glad Friday is here! It's been a crazy two weeks and I'm really looking forward to doing nothing this weekend! I need to get some Spring cleaning done so am hoping to put my organization skills to work! I'm looking forward to getting some things cleaned up around here and am hoping to get some tile picked out for my new bathroom! Yea!
Smile: What did I smile about?
Last night I had a little angel sit next to me on the plane. He was such a nice gentleman and while I really needed to work on the plane home, he forced me to stop, take a moment and reflect. He was a Christian and I want to believe saw that within myself too--at least I really hope he saw that. He spoke of how blessed his life was with his wife and children, how lucky he was to have the job he did, and how happy he was living every day with God on his side. I think it was just the message I needed to hear. I have been going going going so much that I forget the simple things and to take some time to just be thankful for all I have! I am blessed! Very blessed. So, thank you Mr. Parker...you made a difference on to someone last night!
Celebrate: What do I celebrate?
I celebrate that it's the weekend! So happy to be away from work and thinking about all that I need to do! So happy to have nothing to do for two days!
Love: What do I love?
Massages! I got one one the way home tonight and it has begun the start of my "take it easy" weekend! I love my spa membership and am so happy they could take me tonight!
I am meeting my new guy on Sunday afternoon for lunch. He's helping a family member move so tomorrow night wouldn't work, and honestly, I need to just have some time to myself for a while and think I will be better if we wait until Sunday. I think it's going to be a slow process, but hey...I've waited this long, so what's a few more weeks? More information will follow after date number 2!
Thought for the day: I love this blog post and think you will too. Something to certainly think about as we go through the hussle and bussle of life! Redefine your lovely life!
