Ready for a FRESH Start!
Each year I choose a word of the year to help me identify and bring something new into my life. This year, I chose "FRESH" or should I say, it chose me. I'm inviting a fresh new start to this year, eating fresh foods, having fresh ideas, meeting new people, bringing a fresh breath of air to my job and career...FRESH...love this word~! I'll be able to explore it more though out this year as I partake in Ali Edwards One Little Word Class that Bonnie gave me for Christmas this year. I can't wait to see how this word cultivates itself in my life...in a positive way!
Side note, last year, my word was STRETCH...I think I went into the year thinking it would be one thing and wow...was I stretched in more ways than I think I ever imagined. I decided to choose a more positive one that may be a little nicer. Once again, be careful what you ask the universe for cause it will bring it to you. I'm trying to put more positive things out there this year--part of my fresh new mindset!
Smile: What did I smile about?
I smiled as I put my Circa Notebook together to be ready for tomorrow as I begin my new job. I can't tell you how much this liberated me and really helped to put the past behind so I can move on. I cleaned out my briefcase of all the papers and big notebook that I've been carrying around for the last several months and got things ready for a new beginning! I'm so happy to have this new opportunity and in spite of what may come...at least I won't be in the same situation I was. My stress, my health, my relationships couldn't take it any longer. So...I'm looking forward to tomorrow and go to bed this evening with a huge smile on my face!
Celebrate: What do I celebrate?
I celebrate that I am up to date on my Project Life Scrapbook for this year and I celebrate that I'm done with my 2011 Project LIfe scrapbook! I love this concept and love to keep up with the big and little things that happen throughout the year. I probably wouldn't have captured half the things I did last year without this project and am so grateful to look through the pages and relive the good and bad times of the year. I'm so excited that Bonnie is doing with me this year. I hope she finds it as rewarding as I did this last year! I love capturing life and all that it is!
Love: What do I love?
I love my new blue toes! I spent time with my friend Val today and we got manicures and pedicures together and I got blue polish! While it's winter and I'm not wearing open toed shoes at least I know my secret underneath the socks! Such a rebel...lol!
Three words:
BRING IT ON!
I'm ready for tomorrow!

I'm back from my trip to Funky Town...
Feeling much better after being taken to Funky Town for the past two weeks. I think working out, getting some new clothes and spending time with some good friends have helped quite a bit. In all actuality, I think turning it over to God really was the main factor to feeling better!
Smile: What have I smiled about lately?
- Getting a nice email from someone in our office saying that she's heard about me from others and that I have a great reputation within our organization
- Helping someone else smile when feeling down
- Laughing at my new found love of late night TV--Jimmy Fallon. He's hilarious and really makes me laugh out loud...so much so, I don't think that I fell asleep before midnight any time this week! YIKES!
Celebrate: What do I celebrate?
| At Bon Jovi Concert Oct 2010 (We need a new pic) |
I celebrate the birth of my dear BFF! Happy Birthday to you! I am so blessed to have her in my life. God really did right when he brought her into this world and ever since we became friends almost five years ago, my life has been filled with joy and happiness! I hope that she celebrates how wonderful she really is and how special she is to so many people! Love you sweet Bonnie! And...the thought for you is...you're not old, just older--as Jon says:
Love: What do I love?
As I said in previous blog post, I'm supposed to meet up with Bryan sometime next week. More on that. Haven't had much time this week to go to E-harmony much, so I'll see tonight if there are anymore selections out there since I last logged into it.
I love my new haircut that I got today, although I was trying to grow my hair out, I think the good ol' Bob is the best. I think I look younger with it and feel much better--certainly not stretching me (my word of the year) to try something new, but if I can appear younger, then I can let go of stretching in that area.
I love being confident enough in myself to share my life with other people. Didn't reveal anything too crazy, but fun sharing a little more of who I am with others and not caring what they think about me!
I love that tomorrow, I'm heading to Maryland so I can work and more importantly, see Bon Jovi in concert. You know that posts next week will be fabulous! What fun!
Thought for the day: when you send out love, joy will come back to you!

Terrific Tuesday!
When I said that the "sun will come out tomorrow" in yesterday's post, I wasn't sure that it would actually happen (can't ever trust the weather forecasters!), but today, was so happy to see blue skies and the pretty sun up above! While it didn't get above freezing all day, the sun sure helped improve mood and energy levels! I love blue skies!
Smile: What did I smile about today?
God is Good! His works surround me and I see His hand in my life and others around me! Lately, he's answered many prayers to heal relationships, help find jobs, keep cancer under control, and help keep stress levels low. There is nothing more beautiful to smile about than to know the HE is truly in control if we only turn ourselves over to Him! What a wonderful, peaceful thing to know!
Celebrate: What do I celebrate today?
Each year I choose a word to help represent what I hope to achieve that year. This year, I chose "Stretch." It has several meanings but one is to stretch myself in my job and take on some new things that I'm not familiar with. Today, I found out that I will lead an initiative that I really don't know anything about and is truly out of my comfort zone, but a great opportunity to make a difference in my organization. It's going to be a lot of work and comes with lots of visibility (which can be a great thing if things go well, but can be quite challenging if it doesn't!). Many prayers will be sent to help me through this great learning curve!
Love: What do I love today?
Due to the cold weather, my tire pressure sensor went off in my car, so I had to get to a garage to put in more air in my tires. You see, I don't want to know how to check the tire pressure, or to be responsible for putting the air in the tires, so I love that there are establishments that I can pull into, not even get out of my car to get in the cold and allow someone else to take care of that for me! While for the most part, I'm a pretty independent, single woman, but this is one area that I play the "girl" card and don't want to know anything about this (I also play this card on mowing the grass and driving a standard car) Thank you Discount Tire for the free air check and for keeping me safe!
Thought for the day: "Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened to you" Matt 7:7--stop --right the minute and say a prayer!
God bless you today and every day!
